Reporting to an Analytics Manager, this individual will provide advanced analytics and support within U.S. Bank’s Digital Insights, Reporting and Analytics team. They will feel at ease querying and extracting large, raw datasets from various sources, merging and transforming raw data into usable data and analytic structures, loading transformed content into storage for current and future use, recommending key metrics and indicators to utilize, conducting sophisticated quantitative analyses and presenting their findings as clear, actionable insights and recommendations that enable revenue growth, channel adoption and customer acquisition and retention. The ideal candidate will be a motivated professional who is passionate about data and data visualization. They must have strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to understand the business goals and needs, while being committed to delivering data driven insights that lead to actionable insights and recommendations. This individual will also work to build strong and effective relationships within business studios, Digital Enterprise Analytic, the bank’s Digital teams, and the Enterprise to determine data requirements and ensure business needs are being answered in the most appropriate manner. They will be expert in advanced analytical tools and statistical techniques to separate “signal from noise” in order to derive insights that will help answer key business questions. The ideal candidate will have a great understanding and experience with website analytics and tagging fundamentals.
Day to day work will consist of partnering with the Studios to develop strategies based on the insights that they provide. In addition, this individual will work within the Site Analytics team to help develop methods and procedures of working with large digital datasets along with dashboards to monitor the health of digital properties.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Five to seven years of statistics or analytics experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of hands-on experience & knowledge leveraging raw site cat (clickstream)
- 3+ years of digital analysis (campaign analysis a plus)
- Knowledge of website or digital tagging fundamentals and implementation
- Expert user of advanced analytics tools & techniques to perform analysis and interpret data some examples are: SQL, SAS, R, Python, Excel, Alteryx, Hadoop, etc.
- Expert user of analytics data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Expert in analytic storytelling and presentation, including PowerPoint and other presentation tools
- Demonstrated project management and organization skills
- Advanced Degree
- Experience in financial services with knowledge of products, customers, transaction and interaction data, including source systems a big plus
- Demonstrated understanding of statistical analyses methodologies
- Demonstrated leadership duties
- Ability to work and thrive in collaborative work environment as well as independently to drive results, team leadership a plus
- Impeccable attention to detail, while being comfortable with data ambiguity
- Proven track record of driving Analytics into actionable business outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to influence change across a complex organization
